Sights

Whether you want to explore history and culture, experience pure nature or be active in sports – Brandenburg an der Havel is always the right place for you.

With its 1000-year history, there is no doubt that a stroll through the city center brings past eras to life. But the center also lives from its owner-operated stores. There are still a lot of them here, these small stores, whose owners are closely interwoven with the city and who will gladly bring you a piece of it closer.

The fact that Brandenburg’s mischievousness – associated with names such as Vicco von Bülow, better known as Loriot, or the legend Fritze Bollmanns – shines through in one place or another adds to the charm of the visit.

The diverse museum landscape and the wide range of cultural activities also ensure a varied stay. And then, of course, there is nature! While the Havel in the western part of the city expands into a 15 square kilometer lake district, the Beetzsee chain in the north forms one of the most beautiful natural regatta courses in the world. As if made for swimming or boating.Seven nature reserves meet here.

Anyone who loves the unspoiled and pristine will get their money’s worth in the typical landscape of the Mark Brandenburg, where storks, cranes, eagles, gray herons, kingfishers or beavers are at home.
